Beyond Better Studio is committed to making this website usable for as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies. Accessible design is part of how we build every site — including our own.

Target standard: WCAG 2.1 Level AA

Our conformance goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are the internationally recognized benchmark referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and similar laws. We consider this site to be substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA, and we continue to test and improve it.

What we've done

To make this site accessible, we have:

• Used semantic HTML with clear landmarks (navigation, main content, footer) and a logical heading structure.
• Added a "Skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
• Made all interactive elements — links, buttons, the FAQ, and the project showcase — operable with a keyboard, with visible focus indicators.
• Provided text labels for form fields and clear status messages.
• Hidden purely decorative graphics from assistive technologies so they don't add noise.
• Communicated the state of expandable content (such as the FAQ) to screen readers.
• Chosen text and background color combinations that meet AA contrast ratios.
• Respected the "reduce motion" setting in your operating system or browser, which turns off non-essential animation.
• Built the site to work and resize cleanly on phones, tablets, and desktops, and when text is enlarged.

Known limitations

We're always improving. A few things to note:

• The animated project showcase is an enhancement; the same project information is available as text and can be navigated with the keyboard.
• Some fonts are loaded from a third party (Google Fonts); if they don't load, the site falls back to readable system fonts.

How to navigate with a keyboard

• Tab / Shift + Tab — move forward and backward between links, buttons, and form fields.
• Enter or Space — activate the focused link or button.
• Left / Right arrow keys — spin the project showcase when it is focused.
